**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of material handling and inventory management, while ensuring their work area is clean and safe. The Logistics Coordinator also examines and inspects product to ensure it meets specifications.

**Duties**

Complete shipping reports as assigned

Performs regular counts of inventory as assigned

Receives and documents material into the appropriate facility

Inspects and operates shunt truck and material handling equipment

Assigns material to production on a FIFO and lot-controlled basis (first in/first out)

Ships customer orders with required documentation

Records inventory transfers

Assists with the segregation of materials as required by QC team

Inspects product measurements and counts

Reports safety concerns to Production Supervisor

Other general labourer duties as required

**Responsibility**
- Demonstrate a commitment to product quality
- Demonstrates good safety practices, procedures, and ethics
- Demonstrates good cooperation with coworkers and management
- Records detailed packaging, product, and shipping documentation
- Records and monitors inventory counts
- Ensures the plant has the proper materials/equipment on-hand
- Warehouse inventory management and management of multiple employees
- Safe operation and the condition of material handling equipment
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations and ensures accuracy and efficiency.

**Technical Skills & Competency**

- Ability to work shift work, 8-to-12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, and call-in shifts if required

- Has good hand dexterity
- Ability to lift 20kgs
- Comfortable using technology
- Has previous experience in a shipper/receiver role
- Has previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Driver’s license required
