As the Manager of the RMA Department, you have the responsibility and authority to plan, steer, train and coach Ross Video personnel in the support of RMAs (customer returns).
The department incudes RMA administration (receipt and internal processing), Electronic Technicians (evaluation and debug), PCBA repair, Mechanical Assembly and RMA testing.
This position is located at our Manufacturing and Test facility in Iroquois, ON.

**What the job is all about**:

- Debug/repair planning and prioritization, working closely with onsite Test Development team to ensure Technicians have the tools and training to be self-sufficient in debugging/testing customer returns.
- Organize and or provide on-going training and knowledge sharing.
- work with Mfg IS team to assure RMA and repair data is aggregated and made available to company stakeholders (product teams, technical support, manufacturing and management) as necessary and appropriate
- In consultation with Test Development, design and install test infrastructure along with maintenance and upgrades when needed.
- Record and analyze debug activity.
- Hiring and managing of direct reports. Working in tandem with assigned HR Business Partner, this would include job description creation/amendments, resume reviews, and interviews with final hiring authority and all other associated duties with respect to people management.
- Onboard and on-going training of direct reports regarding specific tools, processes, and workflows.
- Prepare yearly capital and labour budget. Procurement of equipment and tools related to the debugging and testing of product.
- Collaboration with multiple stakeholders with respect to quality and optimisation of process and procedures.

**Who you are**:

- Minimum 2 years as supervisor, or manager with direct reports in a manufacturing/test environment.
- Minimum 3-year post-Secondary Education in Electronics or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of JTAG technologies (IEEE 1149.1, 1149.6.) along with associated development tool.
- A good understanding of Networking Protocols, PTP, IGMP Snooping, Multicast, SNMP, QoS, ACL, etc., Experience with scripting and programming languages (i.e.: AutoIt, TCL, Java, C, C++).
- Have experience in data acquisition concepts and with TCP/IP, RS232, USB and CAN communication.
- Robust foundation in schematic reading and interpretation
- Working knowledge of source code writing for microprocessors (Atmel) and FPGA (Xilinx/Altera) design.
- Familiarity with wide variety of test equipment (i.e.: high-speed scopes, video/audio generators/analyzers, DVMs, etc.). Knowledge of schematic capture and layout tools
- Knowledge of Video (SDI, video over IP) and Audio (AES and analog) standards (SMPTE)
- Working experience with Linux, Win7 and Win10.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of computer networking configuration.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and core business-use tools.
- Experience working in PLM, MRP and MES software packages.
- In-depth experience in manufacturing processes and procedures and the product development process
- Some inventory, logistics and planning background are an asset.
