**Job Summary**
We are looking for an energetic and organized Dance Studio Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, ensuring they receive outstanding customer service. You will handle administrative tasks such as scheduling classes, processing payments, maintaining student records, **and coordinating costume needs** for the studio. **Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and welcome students, parents, and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
**Class Scheduling & Enrollment**:
- Maintain the studio’s class schedule and manage student enrollments using scheduling software.
- Keep track of attendance records and update student information as necessary.
**Payment Processing & Record-Keeping**:
- Process payments for tuition, merchandise, and other studio-related fees.
- Maintain accurate financial and membership records in alignment with studio policies.
**Costume Management**:
- Coordinate all aspects of costume ordering, inventory, and distribution for student performances.
- Keep detailed records to ensure timely delivery and accurate allocation to classes and students.
- Liaise with instructors, parents, and costume suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns.
**Administrative Support**:
- Coordinate studio communications, such as reminders for upcoming classes, special events, and important deadlines.
- Assist with ordering office supplies, organizing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area.
**Customer Service & Studio Promotion**:
- Provide information about studio offerings, upcoming performances, and workshops.
- Support promotional activities and open houses, ensuring prospective students and families have an excellent first impression.
**Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with instructors and management to ensure smooth class operations and a positive learning environment.
- Communicate any scheduling changes, student concerns, or operational challenges promptly.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Some college or coursework in Performing Arts, Business, or related fields is a plus.
**Experience**:
- Previous customer service or reception experience preferred.
- Experience in a dance or performing arts environment is a bonus, but not required.
**Skills & Attributes**:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn scheduling/payment software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing costume inventory and orders.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Passion for dance and the performing arts is a plus
**Working Conditions**
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate class schedules and events.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and carry out light lifting (e.g., moving office supplies or costume boxes).

**How to Apply**
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
