**Discovery Centre Ambassador - Part-time**:
**Creative Twist Inc. **is an award winning event design and experiential agency that has been contracted by the City of Red Deer to oversee the operations of a NEW Real Estate Discovery Centre in the Capstone community.
Capstone is a 91-acre district located between the Red Deer River and downtown. It envelopes a light commercial industrial park with over 100 businesses and services and is home (currently) to about 300 residents. Within the neighbourhood, The City of Red Deer owns/controls 19 acres of land and is developing the site as Red Deer’s first Master Planned riverside community.
Since 2015, $45 million has been invested to make Capstone development-ready by creating the foundation upon which the community will be delivered: The Riverwalk pathway and Green Spine, road improvements including a new intersection at Taylor Drive and Alexander Way; improved landscaping and parking and other work.
The establishment of Canada 150 Square, a vibrant public gathering area, was the beginning of creating a central hub within the community. This hub will become vital to presenting the vision for the Capstone community in a manner that educates and supports a consumer buying decision to own a home in the community.
The next step is to establish a Discovery Centre (real estate presentation centre) to further communicate the vision of the community. At full build out in 2042, Capstone will be an urban village, with 5,000 residents living in some 2000 condominiums, townhouses and apartments.
The role of a Discovery Center is:
- To educate and engage Red Deerians and other stakeholders in the vision for and progress of the community.
- To update visitors on new community projects and initiatives (retail, commercial, more).
- To encourage visitation to the community via special events, celebrations and festivities to witness the transformation taking place.
- To build a following for the community via social media channels, volunteer networks, recreational and educational groups, data collection, special events and more.
- To support the resiliency and growth of downtown Red Deer through progressive storytelling and community partnerships
- To support the developer (builder) partners’ sales and marketing efforts, or construction programs.
- To engage the public (future residents) through meaningful and relevant programs and community initiatives which align with and reinforce our community brand values of being Social + Engaged;

The Discovery Centre serves as a base for information about the community development, serving to answer the most basic and most relevant questions prospective residents and prospective developer partners might ask.

The Capstone Discovery Centre will be unique in that it is built within a retrofitted city bus. This Mobile
Discovery Centre (MDC) is, simultaneously, a vehicle to communicate and socialize the vision of the
Capstone community, and an informative and entertaining introduction to the idea of what life in the community might be like.
Although its primary home base will be in Capstone, using a mobile Discovery Centre to educate and engage Red Deerians - and broadly, central Albertans - affords the Capstone Project Team a unique opportunity to travel to communities both inside and outside the city to share information and educate on the project.
The MDC will reflect the lifestyle of Capstone, its amenities, values and vibe all within approximately 280 square feet of space. It will highlight both the urban and natural aspects of the community and give the visitor a look into ‘a-day-in-the-life’ of this new urban community.

- Minimum of 2 years prior customer service experience is required
- Organized and tidy - everything in its place
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, (approx 18 -24 hours every 2weeks) including most weekends and holidays.
- Very comfortable with technology - familiar with i-pads, spreadsheets and basic operations / troubleshooting tech.
