Lincoln, Canada Westbrook Greenhouses Ltd. Full time

Westbrook Greenhouses Ltd. has two fully automated greenhouses with almost 1,000,000 square feet of combined greenhouse space. Westbrook is a large supplier of quality potted plants to the North American wholesale and retail mass market.

**Position Summary**:
The Greenhouse Lead Hand is responsible for the accuracy and putting away of incoming goods. They will also support the packing / processing operations and logistics to ensure quality and efficient product flow.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Receives product and ensures that the team has all necessary materials for processing product (carts, trays, suppliers, product, space etc.);
- Transports product to coolers to ensure quality of finished product is maintained at end of each day when necessary;
- Performs shipping/receiving responsibilities including loading/unloading, stacking pallets, checking accuracy of PO’s, putting hardgoods away, etc;
- Ensure storage areas are neat, clean and organized.
- Assists supervisors with processing or manual handling.

**Qualifications & Competencies**
- Minimum 1-year greenhouse experience;
- Understanding of greenhouse product flow;
- Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize;
- Good judgment/ability to make decisions within defined parameters;
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Microsoft office skills an asset (IE excel, MSBC 365;
- Valid forklift certification preferred;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members as required;
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends;
- Flexibility to work in other departments/locations as required to meet business needs.

**Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions**
- Ability to stand 8+ hours per day;
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs occasionally;
- Ability to push 50-100 lbs frequently;
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks;
- Working in a cool/ warm, humid indoor environment with moderate noise level and around moving machinery.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
