Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a Director of Organizational Development & Culture to play an instrumental role in both leading and executing the work that strengthens leadership effectiveness and fosters a high-performing, purpose-driven culture aligned with its values. As a senior leader within the People & Strategy portfolio, this role is accountable not only for designing and overseeing but also for actively driving and delivering initiatives and programs that support leadership and professional development, performance management, succession planning, corporate communications, staff wellness and wellbeing, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
As a key culture-builder and strategic partner, this role collaborates closely with hospital leaders to align people strategies with CMH’s mission — “Keeping people at the heart of all we do” — and to advance its vision of “Creating healthier communities together.”
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide both strategic leadership and operational execution for Organizational Development (OD), Talent Management, Corporate Communications, Wellness & Wellbeing, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), to cultivate a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
- Develop, implement and lead enterprise-wide OD and change management strategies that drive engagement, adaptability, and continuous learning across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Communications Manager to lead the development of the internal communications strategy to ensure clear, consistent, and aligned messaging that informs, inspires, and connects staff to organizational priorities and culture.
- Champion and implement programs that promote employee wellbeing, belonging, and engagement, fostering a workplace where all staff feel valued, supported, and heard.
- Assess organizational structures and workforce dynamics, proactively identifying and executing solutions to enhance collaboration, performance, and operational effectiveness.
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve leadership development, coaching, and succession planning programs that build internal capacity and prepare the organization for future needs.
- Act as both a strategic advisor and an active facilitator for leaders navigating complex team dynamics, change initiatives, or cultural challenges.
- Both develop and facilitate as well as coordinate external providers to deliver high-impact training, workshops, and communication materials that support organizational priorities and professional growth.
- Promote and model a proactive communications culture that fosters transparency, dialogue, and trust—especially during periods of change.
- Lead or contribute actively to key organizational initiatives requiring strong people, culture, and communication leadership, ensuring successful execution and tangible outcomes.
- Define, monitor, and analyze meaningful metrics to evaluate the impact of OD, culture, and communication initiatives, using data to inform decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree considered a strong asset.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in organizational development, talent management, or a related leadership role, preferably within a complex, mission-driven or healthcare environment.
- Certification in CCHL LEADS; familiarity with leading OD tools and frameworks such as Franklin Covey and Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0) is preferred.
- Proven ability to both lead and execute cultural and organizational change initiatives, delivering strategic insight and measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of corporate/internal communications strategies, with experience in hands-on development of messaging and materials that build trust, align teams, and support engagement—especially during times of change or transformation.
