**Position Description**:
The focus of the SickKids Hospital Navigator is to provide Service Excellence to the patients and families we serve. The Navigator greets and supports patients, families, and visitors entering the hospital at the two public entrances on the main floor. This role operates seven days a week and includes a combination of day, afternoon, and evening shifts.

**Here Is What You Will Get To Do**:

- Welcome visitors in a friendly and courteous manner upon arrival.
- Direct/escort urgent patients into the Emergency Department.
- Provide guidance to the self-screening/self-masking process.
- Request that families/patients with symptoms inform a member of their clinical team.
- Inform individuals of the hospital Family Presence and Visitor Policy and current restrictions.
- Escort patients/family to destination or provide concise directions.
- Help with delivery of items when required.
- Obtain wheelchairs as needed.
- Access Women's Auxiliary Volunteers, Protection Services, Environmental Services, Office of Patient and Family Experience, and Plant and Operations for assistance when necessary.
- Be aware of local resources and options available for families in the vicinity and be able to give directions accordingly.
- Monitor the overall appearance of the hospital entrance.
- Perform related duties as required.

- Must wear SickKids Navigator apparel.
- Additional personal outdoor wear required when working in cold temperatures.
- Able to wear a mask and stand for 1-2 hours at a time with short breaks as required.
- Flexible & Responsive.
