Budtender - Ft/pt

**Chronicles Cannabis** is looking for a **Budtender.** We are looking for enthusiastic people to add to our team at our new Kitchener location As a Budtender, you are the one who builds client relations, educates people about all the different forms of cannabis, and drives sales for the company. Previous experience in the cannabis industry is strongly preferred, though our priority is finding a team player with quality retail experience who fits the company culture, takes exquisite care of our customers, and is equally committed to the overall success of our company. **Responsibilities**:

- Greeting customers and providing fast and efficient service to create a pleasant experience
- Maintaining a properly stocked, organized, safe, sanitary and inviting store environment
- Represent the legal cannabis industry in a positive manner; Be an engaged member of the local cannabis community
- Provide all cannabis customers with proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis
- Ensure long-lasting and meaningful trust and rapport between our customers and our brand
- Educate and advise cannabis customers on all varieties of cannabis products and accessories
- Abide by all applicable industry regulations and act as a socially responsible cannabis vendor
- Ensure all proprietary information is kept confidential at all times
- Staying up-to-date with new products, strains, changes in law, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of customer service
- Maintain and use completely and accurately (POS) and METRC systems for all in-store, online, and phone orders
- Verifying proper identification and paperwork from customers

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, team-oriented and disciplined work ethic
- Detail-oriented; able to stay organized and on task in a fast-paced environment
- Previous retail cannabis experience strongly preferred
- Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining a balanced drawer
- Ability to diplomatically and professionally interact with customers at all times
- Minimum age 19 years old

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years of cannabis retail experience (ideal but not mandatory)
- 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment
- High School Diploma
- CannSell Ontario Standard Certificate (prior to employment)
- Must pass all criminal background checks
- Meet the physical demands of a retail environment including transporting up to 11 kg
