**Rates Analyst**
Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. (Frontier) is a medium sized provider of US and Canadian Customs Services, Trade Consulting, Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery. We are seeking an experienced and motivated logistics professional to join our Logistics team.
As a Rates Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping our pricing strategies and maintaining the competitiveness of our rates in the market. You will work closely with the sales team to attract and retain clients, assist in resolving internal billing discrepancies, and negotiate pricing with carriers to enhance our cost efficiency.
**As a Rates Analyst, You Will Be Responsible For**:
- Developing and establishing freight rates for both domestic and international freight services.
- Ensuring the accuracy of estimated and quoted rates.
- Responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and provide spot quotes to the sales team and external clients.
- Setting up/updating accounts and rates within the transportation software system.
- Participating in the annual rate review process, updating all contract rate quotes as needed.
- Identifying and recruiting new carriers and vendors to expand our carrier network.
- Monitoring shipment status and communicate updates to customers, internal warehouses, operational teams, and carriers.
**Skills You Will Bring**:
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn in-house software programs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meeting deadlines with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Accountable and dependable, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and modify formulas and spreadsheets.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook and Word for effective communication and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, pricing strategies, and logistics software/systems is a plus.
- Willing to engage in logistics projects and conduct Excel analyses as needed.
- Committed to personal development and continuous learning.
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Dispatcher or Planner is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education with a focus on supply chain logistics is an asset.
