The Controller position is integral to the short
- and long-term success of PAMI and its 2020-25 strategic plan and is a critical member of the Business Enablement Team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this business partner will lead the finance function, being conscientious of the _voice of the customer_, while at the same time driving _operational excellence._ The leadership of the Controller will align the finance function with the keys to the success of the organization outlined in the strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting, financial and banking functions and processes
- Collaborates with the Director of Finance in the effective coordination of the annual budgeting process and the period forecasting updates
- Establish and maintain the processes to meet deadlines in timely manner. This includes leading effective financial close and the delivery of critical reports
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance in the development and preparation of internal management reports and Audit and Finance and Board of Director reports.
- Subject matter expert on financial systems and the interfaces impacting the flow of financial information throughout the organization
- Delivery of custom reports required to support the needs of key business partners
- Preparation of statistical reports required by various governmental organizations
- Developing a relationship with the external auditor is critical, along with the effective delivery of audit requirements on an annual basis
- Act as a key finance business partner throughout the organization
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to ensure that ad hoc requests are supported through the organization
Qualifications:
- Commerce or Administration degree with specialization in accounting
- CPA designation is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a similar position
