Providing general administrative assistance such as opening and closing files, drafting accounts, and reception duties.
- Managing, organizing and maintaining an up-to-date (electronic and paper) file system of client files.
- Communicating with clients to schedule meetings, to obtain information and to keep the client up to date on the status of their file.
- Preparing and assembling documents and briefs for LPAT hearings, Council Meetings and court hearings.
- Preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney, attending meetings with the lawyer to execute Wills and Powers of Attorney with clients.
- Preparing Estate Administration documents under the supervision of the Estates Clerk.
- Docketing time.
- Communicating with other lawyers and firms.
- Providing administrative support with the coordination of billings, processing expenses and payments of invoices following the firm’s accounting policies and standards.
- Assisting the firm’s bookkeeper with the collection of unpaid accounts.
- Providing back up assistance and support to law clerks and legal assistants, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Post secondary education in legal assistant or law clerk or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience required
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Esilaw. Experience with Teraview would be an asset.
- Proven ability to prioritize workloads and manage deadlines.
- Excellent organization skills, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) including the ability to effectively interact with clients and all firm members in a demanding environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Location: In person. Remote work is not available

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
