Quality Control Technician

**Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards by conducting inspections, audits, and analysis throughout the manufacturing process. Your expertise will help us maintain compliance with industry regulations and uphold our commitment to excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Quality Control (Primary Focus)**_
- Conduct quality inspections and testing at various production stages to ensure compliance with AMC Foam’s quality standards.
- Record and analyze test data, identify deviations, and communicate findings to the Quality Manager.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives related to quality concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the quality lab and testing areas.
- Serve as backup for the Quality Manager during absences, ensuring continuity in QC operations.
- Collect, track, and report CI data such as defect rates, downtime, and production efficiency.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements in production and quality workflows.
- Participate in team-based CI projects and assist in training and awareness initiatives.
- Support development and documentation of improved procedures or best practices.
- **Plant Support (As Needed)**_
- Assist in lamination, packaging, or shipping areas during peak periods or absences.
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently when required.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and promote a clean and safe working environment.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional coursework or certifications in quality, manufacturing, or process improvement are an asset.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a manufacturing or QC environment preferred; training will be provided.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry, spreadsheets, reports).
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn operation of production equipment
- Physical Requirements:_
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to Headingley, MB (no public transit available).

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
