The City of Edmonton selected Marigold Infrastructure Partners to design and build the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT project from downtown to Lewis Farms. Construction has begun and will take five to six years to complete.

Marigold is a design-build joint venture agreement between Colasand Parsons

As we continue with construction and prepare for the next season, we require a **Concrete Superintendent.**

The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of concrete works across the project, with particular focus on bridges and civil/ utilities. Will interact with other superintendents and coordinators across the scope of construction to ensure that build order is in a logical manner with the least impact to stakeholders and on-budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project’s ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
- Review and understand project schedule.
- Oversees and facilitates the installation of equipment and components for project to ensure contractors can fulfill all obligations according to approved methods, specifications and schedules.
- Serves as liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress and delays.
- Participates in project meetings and facilitates regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and project deliverables.
- Supports integration of project data such as, but not limited to: schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports and performance data, etc.
- Interprets designs and drawings for technicians.
- Tracks RFIs, site drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents.
- Proactively identifies and works to resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery.
- Provides technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.
- Must be able to work on-site for the duration of the project.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering and construction concepts, practices and procedures
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field from an accredited institution.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated self-directed experience in the construction field on large, complex, heavy civil transportation projects.

**Skills, Competencies, Attributes**
- Experience with 3D and 4D models.
- Strong communication skills and ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a cost-effective, customer-focused, team-based environment.
- Effective team participation and ability to coordinate work of multiple disciplines on-site.
- Experience using JD Edwards and Aconex

Valid driver's license, preferably with clean abstract.

Must be able to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather (cold, hot, noise, dust, smoke)
