**Annual Salary: $37.55 - $46.95 per hour**

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager - Specialized Geriatric Services, the Behavioural Supports Education Lead is responsible for leading activities related to building knowledgeable care teams, and the implementation of evidence-based practices, research knowledge and expertise related to Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) into clinical practice within Hospitals, Long Term Care and Community.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences or relevant field
- Minimum of three years experience in areas such as health implementation, research and practice, adult education, change management, and knowledge translation
- Demonstrates the knowledge of dementia, delirium, senior mental health issues in the delivery of care and its effect on the person and family members or care partners
- Significant experience in geriatrics, long-term care or community based seniors care
- Experience in program development, research and evaluation, community development, and education

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing, with the ability to make presentations and deliver training to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, residents, families, and community partners, ministries and other external stakeholders
- Proven ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
- Proven ability to provide coaching and mentoring
- Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and current related word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation and health & safety software
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- Maintain certifications
- Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
