Westcon Precast is currently seeking a full-time Journeyman Mobile Crane and Heavy Equipment Operator for our St. Albert Branch.

The Operator's role is critical to customer service and key to ensuring that customer requirements are being met. The Operator is responsible for ensuring proper safe, and timely handling of precast concrete and use of all heavy equipment. Your primary role will be to operate any and all types of our cranes, transport trucks, yard heavy equipment and loading machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Transport, setup, operate and demobilize mobile knuckle boom trucks.
- Follow road and crane regulations.
- Calculate crane capacities and determine load weights.
- Operate cranes to lift, move positions and place precast products and molds.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Operate crane and hoisting equipment to lift, move or position large objects in our manufacturing yard and at work sites.
- High Mechanical aptitude and maintenance analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to complete routine tasks independently with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Represent Westcon Precast Ltd.; help resolve any customer concerns in a professional manner. Following all site rules and always adhering to them.
- Physically able to operate and maneuver heavy and irregular loads such as large precast structures or molds, including rigging and tying down loads.
- Perform pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations
- Communicate with assigned crews to determine the best placement of precast product on to transport bed trucks
- Operate end dumps and bed trucks, delivering concrete materials, molds and finished products
- Operate yard heavy equipment, front end loaders, forklifts, etc.
- May perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Mobile Crane ticket
- 3 - 5 years Crane Experience
- Class 1 Driver's License
- Previous experience with loading and unloading flat deck trucks
- Previous experience working in a yard preferred.
- Able to operate various yard equipment, including mobile gantry crane experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
- Self-motivated and safety minded.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Work efficiently with little to no supervision.

**Working Conditions**:

- Overtime as required.
