**Forbes Bros**is seeking experienced **Heavy Equipment Operator's (full-time, temporary)** to join our operations team supporting our project based out of Saskatchewan. This will be a remote camp job located in Northern Saskatchewan. The project is anticipated for completion in March 2026.

Taking direction from the foreman or lead hand, The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of equipment and daily pre and post maintenance checks. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include loaders, dozers, excavators, graders and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Able to follow site plans and instructions
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Work closely with construction to team to understand tasks and provide feedback
- Perform daily pre/post safety and maintenance checks
- Understand and have knowledge with equipment operating manuals
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the fleet Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in routine maintenance, cleaning, greasing etc.
- Performing other tasks and duties as assigned
- Minimum of three (3) years experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, crawler tractors, loaders, **_is required_**:

- Class 5 license, **_is required_**. _Class 1 with airbrakes, an asset_
- Ability to read, interpret and understand equipment operating manuals
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines
- Able and willing to travel to remote camp site
- Able and willing to accommodate frequent overtime hours and weekend hours in alignment with project needs
- Able and willing to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments inclusive of heavy lifting
- Able and willing to undergo Pre-Access D&A testing as per project/site requirements
