Lordco Parts Ltd. is looking for a IT Support Technician for our new Head Office location in Port Coquitlam. Lordco Parts Ltd. began in 1974 and since then has grown to become the largest auto parts retailer in Western Canada. Lordco is an owner operated, family run business that has expanded to include nearly 100 locations and a myriad of specialty divisions that include High Performance, RV and Marine, Truck Accessories, Equipment, Paint and Body, Import and Industrial Supplies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work under the guidance of the IT Manager to support internal clients on hardware and software
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Provide level II/III technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues relating to desktops systems, software, network, and hardware
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain computer software and hardware in a logical manner
- Perform routine checks and automate recurring tasks wherever applicable
- Be results-oriented with tasks and complete with high sense of urgency and quality
- Resolve problems by executing and improving standard operating procedures
- Create and document procedures as required
- A high capacity for learning new technologies
**Key Skills and Knowledge Required**:
- 4+ years of experience in a technical support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience
- Deep knowledge of core Microsoft products such as Windows Desktop, Remote Desktop Services, WVD and Office 365
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, firewall, networking protocols, and security concepts
- Strong communication skills that enable IT to partner with other members of our business units on new initiatives
- Ability to work with customers in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
- Strong history of positive customer interaction and customer support
- Auto parts or an automotive background is an asset
- Experience in retail is a strong asset
- Good public relations skills with the ability to remain courteous, tactful, and diplomatic in dealing with internal and external clients.
**What we offer**:
This is a full-time position located at our Port Coquitlam Head Office. Compensation will be negotiated based on experience and will include our full benefits package and RRSP matching.
