Role Description
The Horticultural Assistant is an on-site, 16-20hour part-time role located in Calgary, AB. This position involves a variety of tasks to maintain and enhance the landscaping and gardens of Pinebrook Golf & Country Club. Responsibilities include planting, pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing, and maintaining the aesthetic quality of the grounds. The Horticultural Assistant will work closely with the grounds maintenance team to ensure that the landscape meets the club's high standards and remains visually appealing for members and guests.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience or knowledge in gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance is an asset but not required; training will be provided
- Relevant certifications in horticulture or landscaping are beneficial
- Experience with tools and equipment used in horticulture and landscaping
- Basic landscaping, pruning, pest management and plant identification skills
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a positive work environment
- Reliable transportation to job site

s: Part-time, Seasonal Contract length: 6 months Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour Benefits:
