Family Doulas of Ottawa is looking for a trained Birth Doula to join our team in a shared call support model. The doula will share a 50/50 call schedule with another doula.

Each doula on the team is responsible for:

- being available and attending virtual interviews with prospective clients
- one prenatal visit discussing EITHER birth plans or postpartum planning (60-90 min)
- sending notes to the client following the prenatal visit
- covering 50% of the on-call time for clients in labour
- joining clients for the duration of the birth (additional reimbursement paid hourly after 12 hours of on-location support)
- one postpartum visit to discuss questions and concerns (60 min)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Freelance
Part-time hours: 8-40 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:
Doulas continue to wear N95/KN95/KF94 masks while with clients. Mask purchases will be reimbursed by the company.

Doulas must be vaccinated against COVID-19 per the current Public Health recommendations (booster every 6 months)
