**RECRUITER/HR COORDINATOR**
Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) is a dedicated not-for-profit organization that acts on behalf of the province to oversee all aspects of end-of-life processing of electronics, paint, tires and used oil materials. Since its inception in 1992, ARMA has led the diversion of 11.6 million electronic devices, 33.9 million litres of paint, 144.5 million tires, and over 2.0 billion litres of used oil from the province’s landfills.
Most recently, thanks to the organization’s innovation and environmental stewardship, ARMA was appointed as the administration and oversight body for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). **Position Summary**:
The Recruiter/HR Coordinator will partner with leaders to conduct full cycle recruitment and work with new hires to complete the required onboarding administration tasks. This position will recruit a variety of staff, Board and Industry Council Members to support a rapidly growing organization. In addition to leading the recruitment process, the Recruiter/HR Coordinator will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a broad range of human resources support.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, job duties, required qualifications and skills.
2. Create compelling and on-brand job postings for broad and targeted publication.
4. Schedule and coordinate all interview logistics.
5. Develop interview questions and packages to ensure selection panel is prepared.
7. Facilitate the offer process by generating offer letters and extending employment offers.
8. Conduct required background screening including references, criminal background checks and driver abstracts as required.
9. Collect new hire payroll, benefits and retirement plan information ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
10. Ownership of new hire onboarding process and activities for all new staff.
11. Work collaboratively with external recruitment agencies to facilitate recruitment of hard to fill or sensitive roles.
12. Confidentially maintain electronic employee records according to organization records management policy.
13. Contribute to HR policy creation and maintenance.
14. Assist with various employee engagement activities, programs and initiatives as required.
15. Participate in continuous improvement related special projects as needed.
16. Perform general administrative duties as required.
**Other Duties**
1. Maintains an understanding of and adheres to Alberta Recycling policies, procedures, and standards.
2. Contributes to a positive and safe culture by modeling the organizational values.
3. Performs other job-related duties and assists other team members as required.
**EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES**
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
2. A minimum of three years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition with experience conducting HR Coordinator activities is strongly preferred.
3. Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation would be considered an asset.
5. Demonstrated ability to be professional, flexible, adaptable and exercise urgency within a growth-oriented environment.
6. Ability to exercise complete discretion with the handling of highly confidential information.
7. Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and have proven ability to practice sound judgment in making decisions while working independently.
8. Ability to build and foster trust with internal and external parties.
9. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
