At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. Sinai Health is looking for skilled quality assurance professional who is aligned to our purpose to join our team as the Quality Assurance and Process Lead, Wait Time Information System (WTIS) for our Perioperative Services program.

**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Senior Clinical Program Director Surgical Services, the Lead is a key facilitator in managing the overall processes for Sinai Health related to a key Access to Care (OH_CCO) system. This will include focusing on ensuring each surgical ambulatory area is compliant with standardized processes and procedures tracking patient wait times for surgery in the provincial Wait Time Information System (WTIS).

While ensuring timely, accurate and accessible information within the WTIS, the Lead will support the Senior Clinical Program Director in utilizing WTIS data reports to manage operating room schedules and support funded volumes. Leveraging the data within the WTIS through reported analytics from the Performance Measurement and Reporting portfolio, the Lead will also collaborate with program leadership to ensure timely access to care for Sinai Health’s patients.

The Lead will work directly with Surgeon’s Administrative Assistants to review open wait list entries, target assignments and ensure dates affecting readiness for treatment (DARTs) are captured and reflective of their wait time. This role will provide support to address clinical questions, definitions and practices. The Lead will inform and respond to themes and implement corrective action and long term strategies to enable timely, accurate, accessible and complete data collection.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure clinicians and their teams provide timely and accurate WTIS inputs
- Work with teams to optimize accuracy to ensure that data proves reliable and usable to facilitate operational planning, manage operating room schedules, and supports peer benchmarking comparisons and both global and volume based funding
- Review open wait list entries weekly for relativity in volume projections and operating room schedules
- Ensure accuracy in clinical target assignments, capture system delays and ensure report accuracy prior to submission to senior leadership and provincial reporting centers
- Act as the liaison between the Surgeons' offices and WTIS Helpdesk to resolve issues; train end users in the use of the WTIS system as needed
- Responsible for proactive reconciliations of WTIS data collected from the OR Scheduling system (PCIS) and validation prior to WTIS data being posted to the public reporting website
- Oversee the resolution process and monitoring resolution status; act as the single point of contact for the WTIS team on the status of error resolution
- Responsible for OR error management/resolution, ensuring that all errors assigned to the hospital are assigned to appropriate individuals for resolution
- Collaborate with clinical programs, physicians, senior leadership and other key stakeholders on routine and ad-hoc analysis of information to provide recommendations for performance improvement, maximize revenue streams, and support patient care as it relates to the WTIS system
- Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting for senior management and executive leadership to support operations and initiatives
- Prepare briefing notes and reports; prepare and participate in the delivery of presentations to sponsors, stakeholders, committees and advisory groups
- Determine and assesse root cause issues to challenges in processes and data capture, implementing sustainable solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes to streamline activities, reduce duplication, and allocate additional time for provision of analysis and advice
- Promote a collaborative, team-based approach to problem solving that supports evidenced-based decision-making with clinical and corporate teams
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to review of utilization, reporting processes efficiencies, and the maintenance of high data quality
