Health & Safety Support Summer Student

Based out of our Vancouver Plant, we are hiring a Summer Student to work with our Health and Safety Team. The Health and Safety Administrative Support person is responsible for carrying out general clerical and administrative tasks to support the WCRL Health and Safety Team. ACCOUNTABILITIES - Provide support to the WCRL Health and Safety Team including, but not limited to: formatting documents, editing documents, assisting in writing Safe Work Procedures and other safety documents, updating and maintaining an inventory of Safety Data Sheets, as well as other administrative duties. - Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and all West Coast Reduction Ltd. policies. - Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values. - Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Completion of grade 12 high school diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. - Preferably completing education in health and safety. - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook, with a special emphasis on the ability to format Microsoft Word Documents. - Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance - Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily - Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined spaces, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products INTERESTED CANDIDATES ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR RESUME BY CLICKING THE "APPLY NOW" BUTTON BELOW.
