We are looking for Summer Student - Data Modernization for our **Data & Dynamics team **to be based out of our **Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, or Calgary office**. The role of the Summer Student - Data & Dynamics offers a virtual summer student program, you will receive a great experience here at Long View, including mentorship and guidance from a senior member of the Data Modernization team.
**A Day in the Life**:
- Work with, and, be supported by visionaries in the field of modern data solutions and the value it provides to customers in a highly agile, and fast-paced environment.
- Be a keen learner, contributor, grow confidence and experience working with Azure Cloud and Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automate)
- Alongside a senior member of our team, you will be introduced to Agile delivery processes and included in daily stand-ups, focusing mainly on the research and development area of our business.
- Support Long View’s Data & Dynamics portfolio by working with customers and internal stakeholders (business clients, business analysts, developers, other architects), and delivering services that are innovative and exceed business requirements
**What You Bring**:
- University student currently enrolled in Computer Information Systems, Statistics, or similar field of study.
- Curious, problem solver who is eager to learn and excited about technology.
- Ready for a challenge - this is not a summer vacation Hard work, deadlines, and deliverables are part of the experience.
**What Makes You Extra Awesome**:
- Working towards a degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or Mathematics
- Azure cloud migration strategies
- Experience with a Master Data product such as Informatica, Profisee, or Data Quality Services
- Some of Azure Cognitive Services, Stream Analytics, Delta Lake, IoT Hub Event Hub, Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance
- More than one of the following: Python, Scala, Spark, R, TSQL, PLSQL
