Pickering, Canada Renew Supervision Services Full time

**About the Role**
Renew Supervision Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Tutor to support two students in our group home setting. The tutor will focus on English and Math, helping students strengthen foundational skills and close academic gaps.

This position can be filled by one tutor able to support both students or by two tutors. The role begins immediately and continues through the summer, with the potential to extend into the 2025-2026 school year.

**About the Students**
- One student is entering Grade 5
- One student is entering Grade 11

Both students are currently working below grade level and benefit from individualized instruction, structure, and a trauma-informed, supportive learning environment. Both have learning profiles that include learning disabilities (LDs) and/or ADD/ADHD.

**July Schedule**
The following sessions are currently scheduled weekly:
Tuesdays
- Grade 5: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Grade 11: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Wednesdays
- Grade 5: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Thursdays
- Grade 5: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Grade 11: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- If a single tutor is working with both students, we will make every effort to adjust schedules to eliminate gaps between sessions—for example, aligning sessions so one student can be seen immediately after the other._

**August & Beyond**
The students’ schedules become more open in August after summer camps conclude. We are also aiming to continue tutoring sessions into the Fall, once the new school year begins.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver individualized instruction in English and Math
- Identify learning gaps and tailor sessions to meet student needs
- Foster a supportive, consistent, and calm learning environment
- Bring your own teaching materials and resources
- Maintain clear communication with the program coordinator regarding student progress

**Qualifications**
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with learning disabilities and/or ADD/ADHD
- Skilled in tutoring Grades 4-12
- Trauma-informed and comfortable working in a group home setting
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (within the last 6 months) or willingness to apply.

**Compensation**
- $35/hour (flat rate)
- Tutors must be able to invoice for services rendered

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour
