**About us**

Maverick's Donuts has been serving freshly made donuts and coffee to the Hammonds Plains and surrounding communities for the past year. We are excited to be welcoming a new baker to our team.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an early morning Baker to join our Maverick's team at our Hammonds Plains location. The Baker will be responsible for preparing fresh doughnuts each morning while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

**Requirements**:

- Prepare and fry a wide range of donuts including filled donuts, twists, fritters, and cake donuts.
- Assist in decorating donuts according to specific designs or customer requests
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor and report on inventory levels
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling orders promptly when covering in the front of house
- Available for early morning shifts (4:00 am, or 3:30am on high volume days)
- Available Tuesday - Saturday
- Can lift a minimum 50 lbs

**Qualifications**:

- Experience as a Baker in a restaurant or bakery setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and food preparation techniques (Food Safety Certification required prior to start of employment)
- Proficiency in baking techniques (such as hand rolling dough) and decorating
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to troubleshoot and adjust production as needed
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable transportation is required - **our location is not on a bus route**
