**About Us**:
The Corktown Cook is a gourmet meal delivery service specializing in fresh, seasonal meals made from local ingredients. Our ever-changing weekly menu is designed to provide high-quality, flavorful meals that cater to busy families and professionals in the Toronto area. We are looking for a dedicated Meal Prep Assistant to join our growing kitchen team and help ensure the timely preparation and delivery of our delicious meals.

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:

- Assist with preparing and cooking various meal components, including but not limited to proteins, vegetables, and sauces.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and reduce waste.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before starting meal prep.
- **Meal Assembly & Packaging**:

- Assist in the assembly and packaging of meal kits for delivery.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all prepared meals, following food safety guidelines.
- **Efficiency & Time Management**:

- Work efficiently to meet deadlines for meal prep, ensuring meals are ready for delivery on time.
- Prioritize tasks during busy prep periods and work well under pressure.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure all food is stored properly and at the correct temperatures.
- **Team Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and meal preparation.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with fellow team members.
- Accept feedback constructively and adapt to changes in menu or kitchen procedures.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen, especially in food prep, grilling, and baking.
- Ability to work independently and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in food preparation.
- Ability to lift heavy items and carry them up and down stairs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
- A driver’s license is an asset, but not required.

**Job Details**:

- **Hours**: 24 hours per week (four times a week, with flexible scheduling)
- **Job Types**: Part-time
- **Pay**: Competitive hourly rate

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$23.08 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
