**Job description**

Our clients are looking for students actively studying Early Childhood Education (ECE) or closely related programs and those who have experience of working in a proper childcare environment - recent graduates of ECE are also welcome to apply.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES will include supporting lead teachers to:

- Actively engage in educational activities
- Assist in planning schedules and activities
- Use of appropriate systems to document all activities
- Comforting children and ensuring they feel included, loved, and appreciated
- Managing children’s personal belongings. Maintaining order and cleanliness in all areas of the classroom
- Maintain highest standard of sanitization (including body and furniture)
- Organization of classroom (toys, supplies, etc)
- Maintain behaviour log and report all issue to appropriate supervisor
- Assist children during meal and snack time
- Be studying Childcare or a related program at a Canadian university or college - or a recent graduate
- Be passionate about children and working in a classroom environment
- Demonstrate reliability and commitment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents
- Have the ability to utilize with appropriate software systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
- Demonstrate a supportive attitude, and ability to provide emotional, physical, or behavioural support to children

Other key requirements:

- Valid, up-to-date vulnerable sector checks - or willingness to obtain
- First Aid / CPR
- Experience working within a childcare centre

This position will provide rich learning experience and the opportunity to grow and enhance your skills.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time, Permanent, Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
