We are currently recruiting for a Shop Technician to be based out of our Toronto office which is located in Oakville, ON (2180 Speers Road). As Shop Technician for PULLMAN, you will be responsible for providing support with preparation and packing of equipment, coordination of equipment freight and delivery, and maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain a safe and professional working environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and ensure timely and effective repair of any problems identified
- Have outgoing positive attitude for field/warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear required shop/field PPE including but not limited to Helmet, Safety glasses and gloves.
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred with a medium to large size company performing Fleet repair and maintenance.
- Valid G-level Driver's License with a clean record.
- Possesses analytical, problem solving and customer service skills.
In a typical work setting, people in this job:
- Provide support with the final preparation and packing of equipment prior to shipping; coordination of equipment freight and delivery; maintenance and orderly storage of shop tools, equipment and supplies
- Assist with delivery of parts and materials to customer sites
- General support tasks as assigned by the Shop/Resource Manager
- Maintaining a clean, safe work space
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
- Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Willing to work 50-55 hours a week and have flexible work hours
