**Community Partnerships & Communications Specialist - Healthcare, Human Services, and Business (HHuBs) Programs**

**Scope**:
The Community Partnerships and Communications Specialist - Healthcare, Human Services & Business (HHuBs) Programs, will work in partnership with the HHuBs Leadership Team. This position will be responsible for articulating in a clear, concise, and accurate way when drafting and finalizing accreditation reports, updating college policies and procedural manuals, and developing other written communications to ensure the college complies with the rules and regulations of all relevant regulatory agencies/bodies, including timely report submission and that the company policies and procedures are kept up to date and are implemented consistently throughout the organization. They actively build and nurture relationships with community groups to facilitate ongoing learning and development of culturally safe programs, services, and work environments. They lead the creation, monitoring, actioning, and reporting on cultural safety and humility initiatives, coordinating action from and collaboration with and between internal and external parties.

**What You Will Do**:

- Prepares and manages new HHuBs program approval submissions, change submissions, reports, and all other documentation for PTIB and for other agencies that govern and/or accredit programs (i.e. BCSLS, Ministry of Children and Families, ECE Registry, Accreditation Canada, CCAPP, EQA, etc.) on an as-needed basis.
- In partnership with the Regulatory Compliance Administrator, prepares the PTIB Annual Student Data Report and spearheads all HHuBs-related program Institution Reaccreditation Processes.
- Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Sr. Leadership Team informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
- Leads annual program changes, annual policy reviews as well as annual program reviews.
- Communicates a summary of all HHuBs-related annual program and policy changes to Stenberg College Administrators and Faculty.
- Prepares all draft communications for organization-wide messaging, i.e., Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity, and Indigeneity (EDII) mission, vision, and values communications for Sr. Leadership Team editing and sign off.
- Leads and drafts all HHuBs program student appeals and dispute responses for HHuBs Leadership Team editing and sign-off.

**In collaboration with the HHuBs Leadership team, leads the development and regular review of**:

- A departmental cultural safety and humility position statement
- Departmental goals and initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for marginalized and minority group staff, students, and community members.
- Policies, procedures, and standards that are grounded in a culture of accountability, which encourage a speak-up culture, and defines roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
- Recruitment and selection strategies and procedures that support the development and maintenance of a workforce that is representative of the population served.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with community partners, including local First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples and communities, community groups, and organizations aimed at improving outcomes for marginalized and minority groups.
- Consults with community partners to identify opportunities to improve programs and services to better meet the needs of diverse staff, students, and community members, supporting cross-organization communication and working groups.
- Identifies and supports the allocation of resources needed for the department to meaningfully engage in building and sustaining relationships with community partners to take collective action on achieving goals and objectives.
- Reports on actions taken and measured the impact of cultural safety and humility initiatives, and progress toward goals.
- Provides expert advice related to community development practices to support the development of a safe, healthy, diverse college community.
- Communicates the department’s aspirations and commitments related to improving outcomes for marginalized and minority groups to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with community partners to provide members of the department with opportunities for mentorship and exposure to community experiences and community interactions that promote recognition of, and respect for rights, cultural values, protocols, and traditional medicines.

**Who You Are/What You Possess**:

- Degree in Communications or equivalent experience and/or education
- 2 years’ experience in outreach or community development, or equivalent education
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing growth and education in EDII principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
