What will you do as a Machine Operator?
The Machine Operator is responsible to ensure all processes and procedures are followed to ensure a high quality part is produced; and within the time allotted to perform the duties required to meet those specifications.
Once set, load and unload components according to procedure established.
Read drawings and execute inspection procedures to ensure part specifications are being met.
Interface with machine controller as required to execute tasks.
Use of appropriate precision inspection equipment to measure tolerances.
Adhere to calibration and quality procedures and processes.
Treat and use all equipment (tools, measuring devices, computers, etc) with care.
Use of hand tools for finishing activities such as deburring or filing.
Ensures quality of part meets customer specifications, and raises concerns when required.
Promptly initiates NC’s for non-conforming parts, and follows procedures to control those components.
Moves the job along to the next work center when complete, in a timely, clean and organized way.
Maintains a clean working area.
Routine maintenance on the machine as outlined.
Proper recording of data as required.
Provides feedback and improvement suggestions on how to improve processes, fixturing, or programs when possible.
Proactively contributes and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
What do you need to be successful?
Must work well in a team environment.
Mechanically inclined, skilled in using hand tools.
Must be well organized and have good multitasking experience.

Must have excellent attention to detail.
