**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, offering clear, bilingual communication and exceptional customer service.
- Support vendor invoicing
- Create and manage vendor onboarding tools and resources to support participation and compliance.
- Liaise with Ottawa Public Health, Bylaw Services, and internal teams to ensure safe and compliant operations.
- Supervise and support a team of Market Ambassadors working throughout the district.
- Coordinate daily vendor operations and contribute to the delivery of events and seasonal programming and support and assist market set-up and take down.
- Assist with curating the vendor mix and market layout to enhance accessibility, diversity, and visitor flow.
- Maintain organized records and assist with feedback collection and reporting.
- Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused workplace culture and strong vendor relationships.

**Experience**
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, vendor coordination, events, markets, or a similar public-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising or coordinating a small team or volunteers or staff.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors as needed.

**Assets**
- Experience working with small businesses, entrepreneurs, or cultural programming.
- Familiarity with public markets or municipal permitting processes.
- Knowledge of Ottawa’s regulations related to vending, food safety, and public spaces.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Airtable, Market management software, or similar tools.
- A passion for community building, placemaking, and revitalizing public spaces.
