At Driftwood Communications, we’re pioneers in the telecom industry, dedicated to designing, building, and activating comprehensive networks. Headquartered in Saanichton, we serve as a vital hub for Vancouver Island and maintain satellite offices throughout Western Canada to extend our reach. With a legacy spanning three decades, we specialize in delivering solutions that connect communities, empower businesses, and advance technology.
At Driftwood, we don’t just build networks—we build lasting relationships and drive innovation. We’re now looking for a **Construction Coordinator** to join our HQ team.
The Construction Coordinator will play a key role in improving the efficiency of our construction operations and will report to and work closely with our National Manager, Operations. In this role, you’ll actively interface between Project Managers and construction crews by handling administrative tasks, ensuring smooth communication, and proactively removing operational roadblocks.

- Enter and manage construction crew timecards and project data when needed.
- Work with Construction supervisors to coordinate and schedule third-party vendors as needed (flagging, tree trimming, permits, locates, etc.).
- Work closely with the construction crews to ensure they have maps, permits, and other paperwork that they need.
- Work closely with Project Managers to track project progress and readiness, and update calendars in Outlook, SharePoint, and project management software.
- Maintain organized records of workflows, materials, and labour, in the office and in the cloud.
- Support Driftwood’s culture of health and safety.
**You bring...**
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, etc.).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to tailor their communication style to different audiences, such as field crews, vendors, and management.
- Strong problem-solving ability to address field issues proactively.
- Attention to detail — you can edit documents, create processes for different audiences, and ensure your work is free from errors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in construction coordination, scheduling, or logistics is a plus.
