Our team is the cornerstone of our success, and we are currently looking to expand our crew with a Slinger Truck Operator who shares our passion for excellence and safety in the field.

**Job Summary**:
As a Slinger Truck Operator at Michell Excavating, you will be an essential part of our construction operations team, ensuring materials and equipment are transported safely and efficiently across various project sites. You will be responsible for operating slinger trucks, maintaining and adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Transports material to and from suppliers and job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle.
- Reports any maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Secures and covers loads as necessary to prevent debris from falling out during transportation.
- Follows all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment and compliance with weight restrictions.
- Communicates with the dispatcher regularly to receive instructions about pick-up and delivery times, routes, and any other important information related to the delivery. As well as providing updates on progress, report any issues or delays, and coordinate with the dispatcher and other drivers as needed.
- Performs daily checks of diffs, axle seals, water, oil, and coolant levels, and regularly completes greasing.
- Maintains a clean and organized truck and work area.
- Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations governing the transportation of materials.

**Requirements**:

- Must possess a valid Class 1 or 3 commercial driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Prior experience as a Slinger Operator.
- Strong communication abilities and a proven track record of effective teamwork.
- Keen attention to detail with a high commitment to upholding safety standards.

Pay: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
