Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a cook. As a cook, you will play a vital role in our child care centre preparing food and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a kitchen and contribute to creating delicous and nutritious meals for our children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in meal preparation
- Cooking, grilling, baking as required by recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff in different centres to ensure smooth operations
- Wash dishes and cookware and maintain a sanitary work station

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred
- Food Safety Certification
- Standard First Aid/CPR Level C
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
