**Job Summary**

Hyland Precast is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to help expand market share on North Vancouver Island, Powell River and the Sunshine Coast.

**Job Summary**

Key responsibilities include promoting and selling precast products and Hydrovac services to potential clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including contract jobs with excavation companies and building and maintaining strong customer relationships. The goal is to provide a positive and effective customer experience, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process. This role requires a person who is comfortable doing cold calls and getting in front of people in various roles - such as construction managers, project managers, engineers, and procurement managers.

**Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess market trends.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contracts and maintain strong client relationships, and conduct in-person visits weekly at job sites and offices.
  • Achieve weekly prospecting goals as set by the VP of Operations. Regularly report on sales progress and performance.
  • Monitor job boards and present proposals.
  • Secure new customers and develop service contracts.
  • Cross-sell to existing customers and revive inactive accounts.
  • Generate and manage sales leads, follow up on quotes, and submit and track orders.
  • Provide accurate product and service information to clients, prepare quotes, negotiate terms, and assist with project requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within construction, industrial, or similar fields, with a track record of measurable sales success.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and experience with precast concrete or utility products is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • A true team player who is willing to be coached as well as support other staff.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

**Skills and Attributes**

  • Experience with civil utility background an asset
  • Likes to make cold calls.
  • Is comfortable speaking with people in person.
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, customer relationship management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations, with an understanding of technical drawings being an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
