**Technician roles and responsibilities**:

- Fire alarm and emergency lighting inspections, assist the senior technician - reports, repairs, and service calls on various makes and models of equipment
- Fire Monitoring - installation, inspections, service
- Surveillance cameras/systems (CCTV) and access control - installation, maintenance, and service calls
- Working on ladders safely, good use of hand tools, various test equipment
- Driving a vehicle, maintaining a good driving record, and ensuring vehicle maintenance is done as needed
- Operating a scissor lift
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude

**Required Skills**:

- Previous experience not required, a good attitude and strong work ethic is.
- 1 year of experience as a service technician in the fire alarm or security industry an asset
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician an asset but not required
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and climb ladders or scaffolding
- Good computer skills, typing, competence with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience with Access Control/Burglary/Video Surveillance an asset

Police Information Check and a Drivers Abstract will be required prior to receiving an offer of employment.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week

Additional pay:
