**Technician roles and responsibilities**:

- Fire alarm and emergency lighting inspections, reports, repairs, and service calls on various makes and models of equipment
- Fire Monitoring installations, inspections & service
- Surveillance cameras/systems (CCTV) and access control installation, maintenance, and service calls
- Working on ladders safely, good use of hand tools, various test equipment
- Driving a vehicle, maintaining a good driving record, and ensuring vehicle maintenance is done as needed
- Operating a scissor lift
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Mentoring of more junior/less experienced staff

**Required Skills**:

- Applicants must have minimum 1 year of experience as a service technician in the fire alarm industry
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and climb ladders or scaffolding
- Good computer skills, typing, competence with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience with Access Control/Burglary/Video Surveillance an asset

Proof of certifications, Police Information Check and a Drivers Abstract will be required prior to receiving an offer of employment.

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week

**Experience**:
