**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs.
- Support clients with dementia care or other cognitive impairments through patience and understanding.
- Collaborate with nursing staff in assisted living or home care settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as senior care, nursing homes, or home care settings.
- Strong knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and basic health monitoring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others, particularly those requiring assistance due to age or health conditions.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively, especially when working with individuals experiencing dementia or other cognitive challenges.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while providing attentive care.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

- Criminal Record Check (preferred)
