We are currently looking for an experienced and safety conscious **Equipment Hauling Driver

**Responsibilities**:

- Driving equipment hauling truck in the most efficient & safest manner following transportation driving laws
- Safe Loading and Unloading of various pieces of equipment
- Perform the necessary pre/post trip inspections on vehicles
- Work with company to ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times in accordance with OH&S
- Regular Communication with the Equipment Dispatcher & various on-site Foreman
- Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings
- Daily/weekly greasing, maintenance & washing of trucks & trailers
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3-years experience in equipment hauling in a medium to large organization within a municipality/City
- Completion of Grade 12 or high school diploma
- Previous experience in hauling of construction equipment (paving, milling, concrete, base)
- Previous operation of 10 Axle unit is an asset
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions & long hours
- Ability to utilize smartphones, WhatsApp and possess some computer competence
- Competent Driver/Defensive Driver
- Ability to work independently or with little supervision
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Some knowledge of the municipal road building industry an asset
- Familiarity & experience with city driving and surrounding areas considered an asset

**Required Certifications and Licenses**:

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract is required
- Load Securement Certificate would be an asset
- Pre/Post-Trip training required

**Additional Information**:

- This is a full-time seasonal position.
- This position is eligible for over-time.
- Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
- Training will be provided for various activities.
- We offer excellent wages and benefits.
- Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
