A Home Child Care Provider ensures that all aspects of a child’s welfare are met while under their supervision. Some common duties include:

- Monitoring the child throughout the day and ensuring safety at all times.
- Preparing meals and feeding the child.
- Bathing and ensuring overall hygiene.
- Assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate games and tasks.
- Planning and guiding activities throughout the day such as reading, physical activity and creative expression through art and songs.
- Reporting to parents such important need arises.

- Attention to detail
- Positive, caring and compassionate attitude
- Safety conscious with keen observational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to be organized

**Education and Training**
- Highschool diploma
- 7 months to 1 year caregiving certificate or equivalent experience, training and/or education
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- IELTS certificate
