**Overview**
The Information Session on Drug and Gang Awareness is designed to educate participants about the risks associated with drug use and gang involvement. This session aims to provide valuable insights into prevention strategies, community resources, and support systems available for individuals and families affected by these issues. Participants will engage in discussions that promote awareness, understanding, and proactive measures to combat the influence of drugs and gangs in our communities.

**Responsibilities**
- Facilitate engaging discussions on the impact of drugs and gangs on individuals and communities.
- Present informative content that covers various aspects of drug use, gang culture, and prevention strategies.
- Provide resources for participants seeking help or more information on drug abuse and gang-related issues.
- Encourage open dialogue among participants to share experiences and insights related to the topic.
- Collaborate with local organizations and experts to enhance the quality of information shared during the session.
- Prepare educational materials that effectively communicate key messages about drug prevention and gang awareness.

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
- Knowledge or experience in substance abuse prevention, gang awareness, or community outreach is preferred.
- Ability to create a safe space for discussion, fostering an environment of trust and openness.
- Organizational skills to manage session logistics effectively.
- Passion for community service and a commitment to making a positive impact on public health and safety.

This position is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community education efforts while raising awareness about critical social issues affecting our neighborhoods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON L4T 2H3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
