Reporting to the Store Manager and SUNRIPE Owners, the Produce Department Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and cleanliness in their department.

What You Bring to Our Team:
- Minimum five years of experience in a produce department
- College diploma or degree in business, culinary or other related field, or a combination of experience and education
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to delegate, lead and inspire a team with a passionate and positive demeanor
- Flexible availability from 4:30 am until 9:00 pm, seven days a week
- Computer skills specifically with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service

- Answer telephone calls and receive orders
- Supervise, train, mentor and conduct annual performance reviews of team members
- Work with Human Resources and Store Manager with hiring and onboarding
- Control inventory of product on a monthly basis and prepare spreadsheets for Accounting
- Order, receive and verify invoices against shipments for accuracy and freshness
- Organize and ensure proper storage of inventory and incoming shipments
- Manage department profit margin by following recipes, verifying product costs, and updating retail pricing for the sale of produce, flowers, juice, gift baskets, candies and other signature products.
- Merchandise produce department products and displays artistically
- Manage production of produce items, while maintaining impeccable cleanliness
- Manage department schedules within assigned labour budget
- Follow and ensure government regulations, company policies and procedures
- Attend Managers meetings and staff meetings
- Other assigned duties as they may arise
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.50-$24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
