RTR Terra Contracting Ltd is a full-service excavation contractor that provides a multitude of services of various sizes in and around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Terra was formed over 10 years ago by a group of exceptional and knowledgeable construction and operation managers that have over 25 years of experience.

**The Opportunity**:
Control Person and Lane Closure Technician. The LCT is safety-orientated, communicates clearly and is effective in keeping people safe and maintaining the flow of traffic. Terra’s LCT works under the direct supervision of Terra’s Traffic Control Manager.

**A day in the life of the Lane Closure Technician
- roles and responsibilities**:

- Execute effective traffic management plans with proper equipment.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining sites with signage and barricades.
- Direct drivers, pedestrians, and workers on safe routes
- Protect workers by keeping workspace free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards.
- Review traffic management plans and retrieve up-to-date plans when necessary.
- Pick up and drop off signs between sites and Terra’s office in Burnaby when necessary.
- Train other site workers about traffic and equipment safety.
- Reports to Terra’s Traffic Control Manager.
- Perform other duties as and when required.

**Qualifications

- Safety
- orientated, always adheres to safety.
- Have experience as an LCT
- BCCSA approved Traffic Control Certification
- Lane Closure Technician (LCT) Certificate preferred
- Class 5 Driver’s License Required
- Have a good driving record
- Motivation to keep traffic smooth and pedestrians safe.
- Is committed to be a reliable, professional, and consistent team player.
- Comfortable with lifting cones and signs up to 50lbs.

Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour
