**Team & Job Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develops and leads tactical plans for optimizing team resources and performance to deliver on competing priorities, and contributes to the development, monitoring and reporting on Secretariat priorities, initiatives and accountabilities.
- Leads the performance, skill/career development and recognition of direct reports to ensure the capacity and capability to deliver on accountabilities.
- Leads the scheduling, planning and execution of Board and executive meetings.
- Develops and delivers strategic advice to management and the Corporate Secretary in the formation of Board submissions and approvals.
- Prepares written documents and presentations for the Boards and Executive Team, leveraging a detailed understanding of governance, the business, and impacts to the corporation and boards.
- Manages sensitive Board and corporate information with discretion and integrity and ensures organizational content management obligations are maintained.
- Serves as back-up in executing the responsibilities of the Corporate Secretary in accordance with the organization’s By-Laws. Attends Board and Executive meetings, facilitates discussions, records Minutes and provides support to the Corporate Secretary and Chair(s) as required.
- Ensures the Board governance framework and related practices are current and reflect good industry practice, regulatory compliance and risk policies.
**Screening Criteria**
- Completed an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Law or in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate governance, law, business or related field.
- Exceptional leadership skills in coaching, influencing and driving cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, dynamic and demanding environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, critical and strategic thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualism in both official languages (English & French)

**Compensation Details**:
- Manager Board Governance 19: Salaries typically range from $109,810 to $146,413 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
**Location**
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment and currently requires you to be in the office 3 days per week.
- This role may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, or Halifax. In addition, this role is required to attend frequent in-person meetings of the Boards in Ottawa and in other Community Hubs.
