POSITION OVERVIEW

The incumbent is responsible for validating loan disbursement requests and other relevant documents sent by business centers.

He.she will also be responsible for identifying and correcting inconsistencies in disbursement requests and answering questions about their condition.

Finally, they will have to manage the archiving of disbursement documents.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Verify loan disbursement requests and related documents received from business centres, to ensure that they have all been authorized and in accordance with applicable policies/procedures;- Identify and correct discrepancies with established policies and procedures submitted by disbursement requests;- Recommend action where appropriate and follow up on discrepancies with business centres to meet deadlines;- Prepare and carry out electronic funds transfers (EFTs) and issue cheques ($CAN and $US) determining the system to be used to meet the indicated deadline for the payment of funds;- Obtain the authority to proceed with transactions as well as the signatures of the funds of authority;- Prepare confirmations that funds/cheques have been transferred in a timely manner;- Implement ancillary procedures when usual systems are not available;- Liaises well with users outside of Head Office: o Responding to any inquiries regarding the status of disbursement requests,- Taking all necessary measures to ensure continued customer satisfaction.- Archive all documents concerning disbursements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting or administration (or equivalent);- Have three (3) years of experience in accounting (an asset);- Good knowledge of accounting practices and principles;- Ability to maintain an excellent connection with users at all levels and provide high quality service;- Be organized in the work to be accomplished, respecting the different deadlines;- Be a team player;- Be able to work under pressure;- Ability to interact with internal/external clients of the BDC organization;- Be able to juggle between French and English (bilingualism).
