As a member of the Bird Construction Team, the Accounts Payable Administrator will support the District Finance group, Project Managers and Coordinators with timely and accurate project cost processing and reporting.

This position is based out of the Bedford, NS Office.

What You Will Be Working On-
- Responding to payment enquiries- Organizing AP files and maintaining records as required- Forwarding supplier invoices to central processing- Contacting vendors for invoice corrections- Investigating invoice processing issues and redirecting for resolution- Working with project teams to ensure proper electronic purchase order creation and receiving are complete and accurate- Validating electronic data entry for accuracy- Ensuring invoices flow through the payment process as quickly and smoothly as possible -investigate and resolve issues as required- Reconciling supplier accounts to ensure accurate and timely payment- Maintaining positive relationships with valued suppliers- Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For- Post-secondary educational background in Accounting or Finance/or relevant experience- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction industry, project-based environment or similar accounts payable role is preferred- Strong computer skills- Strong organization, time-management and decision-making skills- Ability to multi-task, manage a fast-paced ever changing environment and meet strict deadlines- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to re-prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is required- Adaptable with a strong work ethic- Strong oral and written communication skills- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others in a team environment and contribute to the team in an efficient, effective and positive manner- The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, maintain focus and be an out of the box thinker and problem solver is required We Put Safety First
