The Systemic Therapy Unit at STEGH provides chemotherapy and infusion services for the residents of St. Thomas and Elgin County in affiliation with the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre. The Systemic Therapy Clerk will coordinate referrals to and from the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, coordinate weekly chemotherapy clinics (consults, treatments and follow ups), collate required statistics and provide general clerical support to the Unit.

**HOURS**:
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Medical Office Administration/Health Care Office Administration certificate required
- At least one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years in an acute hospital/healthcare setting
- Previous experience in a chemotherapy environment within the last three (3) years preferred; knowledge of Cerner PowerChart Oncology is considered an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology and alpha and terminal digit filing systems
- Experience with collating and reporting statistics
- General clerical experience including but not limited to reception, patient registration and booking
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone etiquette to provide the highest level of customer service;
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with mínimal supervision utilizing effective organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to support patient completion of required digital screening tools associated with chemotherapy treatment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary team members to coordinate patient appointment bookings and schedule management
- Ability to adapt and work within a constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer knowledge and skills (Electronic Patient Record, Microsoft Office, and Internet/Intranet Usage).
