Construction Project Coordinator

**Job description**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the project manager and superintendents with overall project performance, including cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
- Coordinate construction planning, identify potential risks, and resolve field technical issues.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners by issuing tender packages, defining scopes of work, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.
- Manage change orders, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impacts.
- Administer requests for information (RFIs) and handle the shop drawing and submittal process.
- Assist with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and overall project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance, and warranty.
- Prepare and negotiate purchase orders (P.O.'s) for subcontractors and vendors.
- Assemble and update contract documents, such as drawings, specifications, change notices, and change orders.
- Maintain current paperwork and site documentation.
- Review and evaluate tender submissions.
- Issue purchase orders to subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Discuss schedule and cost impacts of project changes with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project manager.
- Attend site meetings and produce meeting minutes.
- Prepare closeout documentation for submission to owners/consultants.
- Act as the point of contact for project status communication.
- Monitor project progress and address issues as they arise.
- Oversee project schedules and provide updates or feedback.
- Formalize the change order process by identifying changes or additions in the scope of work.
- Conduct detailed material take-offs, review drawings, and develop requests for quotations (RFQs).
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D for site design and planning is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools like ProCore is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Time management skills essential for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
