**POSITION PURPOSE**

This position will assist in all aspects of the inspection, defect identification, De-nibbing, and Polishing process of painted components including other duties as required. Prior to paint and for multi colored components supporting the paint team with masking components for paint. This job is for a reliable, hard-working individual that has a high level of attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently while being focused on Safety and Continuous improvement aspects.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Remove parts from transport / holding racks and place on to inspection / work table
- Wipe down and Identify out-of-spec conditions that may be present.
- Highlight the defects by circling them with a china marker
- Change grits as required and repeat as needed until defect removed.
- Wipe down the parts to remove any residual sanding debris and transfer part to next holding fixture / table
- Utilizing the electric polisher, polish component ensuring that the surface of the part has been polished effectively to remove any debris and minor defects left over from De-Nibbing
- Inspect the component and then utilizing the small electric polisher, complete the polishing procedure by touching up any final areas that are required to be finished.
- Wipe down the component and transfer part to the next holding fixture / table
- Ensure the flow of work orders is maintained as directed by following schedule and proper staging of jobs
- Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
- Assist in cleaning and organization of the area as required
- Keep all work areas including staging area clean and organized, emptying scrap and garbage containers as necessary
- Maintain all quality standards in accordance with the specifications for each job in order to meet customer requirements
- Performs additional duties as deemed necessary
- Takes initiative and is a self starter
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time, work independently with mínimal supervision, and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
- Maintains open communication and a team-oriented work environment with all departments and all levels of personnel
- Demonstrates flexibility and professionalism throughout the day
- Willingness to work in other areas of the facility as required

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.50 per hour
