This position will focus primarily on IT Service Desk and will involve in IT projects in order to the IT team to focus on higher-priority projects and critical issues, enhancing our department's efficiency and effectiveness.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES**
- Level 1 user support
- ZenDesk Tickets - Follow-ups
- Desktop/Laptop setups
- Mobile Phone setups
- Cyber Security Training Campaign - Co-ordination with all stakeholders
**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**
- Knowledge in poultry and meat processing is preferred.
- Must be enrolled in a related program in an accredited post-secondary institution.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Position is primarily office-based working conditions, with ability to go on the plant floor depending on work assignments.; Work hours: Maximum - 40 hours/week - Day shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm.
- Office-Based Role with Plant Visits: The co-op student will primarily be stationed in the office environment but may be required to visit the plants as needed for hands-on support and project engagement.
- Remote Site Visits (Optional): While there will be opportunities to visit remote sites, this aspect of the role is optional and contingent upon the student’s transportation capabilities.
- Collaborative IT Setting: The co-op student will work in a team-oriented setting that emphasizes collaboration with other IT professionals to address departmental needs and user support requests.
- Dynamic Support Landscape: The student will encounter a diverse range of IT challenges, offering a broad exposure to various tech support scenarios, from hardware troubleshooting to software assistance including cyber security and AI, fostering a comprehensive learning experience.
